the weekend with an artist and some geeks
this past weekend was spent at the art museum in san jose looking at the m.c. escher exhibit. it was great. a bit more crowded than i like, since well crowds freak me out. but very fun. i just wish i could have pulled a few of the items off of the walls and brought them home. the op-art exhibit was nice too but after a while my eyes were freaking out. heh. after the museum we went to the LUG. it was quit fun. the cake the hubby made was a hit. must remember to take another one sometime. the conversation was awesome. talking about making a jerks computer explode remotely was fun. *giggle* i just need to remember not to blush so much at the mention of Colorado. i also go to meet Richard M Stallman (RMS). he was nice but didn't talk too much. it seemed like he was really tired. the past 2 days (sunday and today) have been spent hanging out and working with the hubby. it's been alright. when i don't snap about certain things. i'm just hoping that some of the leads from the LUG pan out into a new contract gig for him. he's been kind of down since the last contract ended. i understand him being down but it isn't that easy to deal with. i can only say 'i wish i could fix it' and 'you will find something soon' so many times before it starts to sound like i'm just hitting the playback button. we are thinking of going on a mini-vacation to get our minds off of things but due to the weather i think we are going to be putting it off for a while. i think the best thing would be to get out of the house for at least an hour a day and then get back to projects at hand. i'm sure you can all understand not being able to find something wrong in a code because you stared at it too long. it's like staring at a long string of accounting to only realise you transposed a number that you had been looking at for an hour thinking it was fine. we are also thinking of going to montana sometime soon to see our friends there. we'll see how all of that pans out. ok, that is all for now. take care lovelies. *gives hugs*
