for the labor day weekend we took the trip down to my moms. 6hrs there and 7.5hrs back. it was lots of fun but filled with ups and downs. mostly due to me ending up acting like a bitch, to put it bluntly. we left friday after the hubby got out of work. we packed up the ford we rented and headed off. we decided to take the ps3 since we had received it right before the hubby got home. i wanted to take it to make sure it worked. even if i was only checking to see if the bluray was working. we got to my moms around umm 8 i think. it wasnt that bad of a drive. let me tell you stopping to eat in the central valley was bad. you opened the door to walk outside and it is a sauna. friday was spent unpacking the car and having dinner with my family. it was yummy. mike (my sis' bf) made tacos. my mom wasnt there when we got there since she went to bingo with her friends.
saturday was interesting. chris and i went off to franks. it was boiling in there but i got hugs from bobby and got to walk around. after we went to franks we stopped at walmart and then the mattel store. got some things at walmart but nothing of significance. we went back home after picking up some food. i wanted to go back out and thought my mom was going to take us. but she already had plans to go to the bingo. so, i basically ditched my mom because i wanted to go to the club. yolie, the hubby and i ended up going off to brea after we ate. i was already in a mood because i had gotten a call that was basically, 'sorry but we are not going to the club. yes we know you came 400 miles but sorry'. the heat was not helping matters. so i was snippy all the way to the mall. chris went off and my sis and i went to torrid. i found what i was looking for. a beautiful black corset that was on clearance. there was a skirt that went with it but i looked like a stuffed sausage in it. so i put that back. the corset came out to $22. which is awesome. after we were done at torrid we hit hot topic. then we were off back to home. chris ended up not wanting to go to the club. i took issue with it. it seemed like my trip to the club was falling apart. it ended up not falling apart though. it ended up that my friends decided to go after all. i even got to drive and carpool to the club. pics were taken before we left to pick up that last of our party for the club.
i had not been to either of these places before. so seeing peoples new dwelling was cool. i had not seen these friends in ages. so it was very good for me. i also looked pretty cute. *giggle* i've had a bit more self confidence lately. losing weight and getting complimented on it and getting clothing in smaller sizes helps that a lot. i got hugs from tony and then it was beth, my sis, mike, robert and myself piling into beths car and off to the club. on the way there it was robert, my sis, and myself in the back seat. it wasnt a tight squeeze but it was umm close quarters. we stopped at the ampm so robert could get smokes and get beth a locarb rockstar. then it was finally off to the club. i hadnt been to Skandal. it was pretty cool. patio outside and then a small inside. it was so hot though. i only danced to 2 songs due to it being a sauna inside. we ran into some people i have not seen since before i got married. found out later on that chris didnt even recognize me. that was kind of funny. i hung out outside for a while. met a guy named bob who was cool. found out he had been to the castle in florida when he used to live down there. stephen was there and taking photos. he took a couple of me, chris and adele. he wanted me to stoop down slightly so the other girls could be behind me. hopefully they will be up soon. beth had taken a few before we left her place and i should have those sometime tonight. at least that is what i am hoping. i need to get photos with that new top. the club closed at 2am and after that we hung out outside. i got to talk to talon and robert a bit. it was interesting. but fun. it was also great hearing the compliments from the both of them. i had some issues at the club since i knew i was getting a cluster headache. so at one point robert helped my rubbing my neck. after shaun and beth were done talking and robert said all of his goodbyes we went back off to his place to drop him off. instead of leaving right away we talked for a while. that was cool. although im not sure how beth felt with 4 of us telling her that who she is seeing is a bad idea. but if you have 4 of us and countless other people giving you advice on it then maybe it will sink in. i got to talk to robert a little outside by ourselves and that was nice. before we left off to beths, and picking up my car, he checked the back of my neck and said 'damn woman' it was funny. i dont even know what time we got to beths. but i was really tired. and i had to drive home. we got there in one piece but it was 5am. beth invited us over for sunday but we couldnt make it. i sent her a few texts about it but im not sure if she got them all due to my phone dying. since i forgot to charge it.
sunday i spent time with my mom and sis. we went out to hawaiian gardens and played 32 games of bingo. didnt win but it was fun. we took my sis and mike out to dennys for dinner. we were going to take my mom with us but her knees were bugging her. so we got her some food to go. it was great to have dennys and hang out. i got online sunday and well i got a talking to from chris. he said, 'we dont have much time here. i thought you wanted to hang out with your family'. but i was entering my coke codes that my mom gave me. i didnt feel like trying to pack all the codes with me. even though i ended up with about 30 caps to bring home. *giggle* when i was done entering them i tried to play scrabble with chris yolie and mike but after the first game i was falling asleep. so i went to bed. i guess the night at the club wore me out more than i thought it would.
monday we left at about 1. we gassed up and headed home. my mom was all 'i would have left at 7am if i could have' but i was zoned until i got up. we took the 210 to the 5 which im sure saved us a lot of time. we were in a few traffic jams on the way so it took us 7 1/2 hours. it wasn't too bad though. it could have been a lot worse. the big traffic jam was on the 152. that was to be expected though due to the holiday. we ate dinner and got home about 9. not too bad. we unpacked the car and then had a quiet evening here at home.
today i was going to walk to the store and do the normal grocery stuff. well i was waiting for a while before i did so. after my shower i went to get the mail and saw the tracking info online for a package. so i thought i would wait. then chris told me that the tracking said that it was 'undelivered because the place was closed' and i was all like, 'what?!?!? ive been here all day'. i went to the office to see if she had been there and she said she had. so chris complained to DHL and they came back out to deliver the package. so we got our new Dell inspiron1420 laptop. yay! well when i came back after asking our manager about packages i fell down. my bad foot just gave out and i fell. im just glad i was at home. im also glad that i wasnt about 10 paces in any direction. or else i would have hit something more than an empty box. all i know is that my ankle is now swollen and hurting. about 15-20 minutes later the package got to the office. since i forgot to mention that. the hubby is setting it up now.
so, that was my weekend in not so small of a nutshell. sorry to cut this short but im going to try and elevate my foot again. i do hope that you all had a great holiday. take care lovelies. *huggles*

i've mentioned how i basically "stalk" a thread on a forum to get coke codes when they are given out. the people that have extra codes hand them out in various ways. what i do not understand is why if someone takes the code they can't just say 'thank you, got the code'. most of the time the regulars end up going 'redeemed, not by me. thanks for the code anyways' or something to that extent. it seems like common courtesy is missing. i do my best to remember to say thank you when i get or don't get something from the thread. mostly because i believe it is very nice of the people there to give out the codes that they can use themselves to get something. i also dont get why when someone mentioned one of the prizes they redeemed their codes for one of the 'newer' members of the thread jumped on them and basically said it was stupid to spend that kind of point amount on what they got. (they got a free 12pk of coke for 100pts) but, it was the persons choice. one member is very kind and she gets items to give away to the childrens hospital by her home. it is up to everyone to pick what they want. with our points i turned them into Sony giftcards. and a few days ago we went to Valley Fair and turned those gift cards into my new PSP and a game. (cost $70 out of pocket for $210 w/o tax worth of items) i'm very happy with what i did with our points. but if i would have wanted to spend it on free cokes or other things people should be happy for me that i got what i wanted. i just wish there was more gratitude and appreciation out there. it seems like sometimes you just see the greedy. anyways, that is all for now. hope you are all having lovely weekend. take care lovelies. *huggles*

we've been trying to do some photography lately. saturday we went to KSP (keeble and schucat in palo alto) and got a filter and a filter holder thingiemagummie. sunday we made lunch (turkey/avocado sammiches) and then took a walk through the park next to our place to take photos. since it was Easter it was packed and there was no real place to take photos. so we ended up walking over to Castro street and the park that is near our library. There were a few people there but we had lots of places to take photos. i just hope that they came out well. i'm always so critical of the photos taken. i wish i wasn't though. i think being told 'you have such a pretty face, if only you'd lose a few pounds' for years hasn't helped me. but i am slowly getting over that. once we got home we relaxed a bit and i entered the coke codes that i had. i have a funny story about one of the coke flaps i entered though. we were walking through the parking lot of the park and i saw a guy putting things into the back of his car and he had a 12 pack. i told chris to go ask for the flap and he said that i would have to do it. so i walked over to him and asked if it would be okay if he didnt save coke codes if i could have it. he gave it to me and we wished him a happy easter. so 10pts for me for asking. we also found 2 coke caps and i ended up buying a diet coke because i was thirsty on the way back. i am going to redeem some of the points for a sony gift card tonight. and then start saving for the next one. that is if coke doesn't take sony off their site. *crosses fingers that they don't* after codes were entered we made dinner. we were going to dye eggs but i had such a headache that we decided against it. now we are waiting for the cake to cool down :) that is enough for now as i'm sure i'm rambling again. take care, lovelies. *huggles everyone* :) have a great upcoming week.

i think i have become obsessed/addicted to this mycokerewards thing. i am now hanging out on a website where some of the members give out their extra codes through trivia and things. i've gotten about 20 extra points this way. they are great people and all too. i just need to get to the 1k in coke points and then i can get my psp and be done with the whole thing. *giggle* maybe it's just silliness on my part. i don't even know why i really want one other than to play Ratchet&Clank: Size Matters. i also know that trying to get enough points to pay for a PS3 is way out of my league.

the obsession/addiction has gotten so bad i've been asking all my friends to be on the lookout for the codes and send them my way. ugh. it needs to stop. *shakes head*
